Preamble - The sizes listed below are our stock items.  As we are a low volume high quality producer it is very easy for us to custom cut.  Our unique harvesting operation also allows us to sequence sets of tops either by the billet, the block or the tree.  Some builders like this option as it allows them to more quickly "voice" a series of tops knowing that the acoustic properties of the voiced top will be virtually identical through a consecutive and sequenced series.  Given enough notice we can custom cut to your sizes and, with regular customers, we will then have these products in stock awaiting your next order.  Call for your special requests, we enjoy these, it keeps us on our toes!!

We typically air dry our tops in a moisture controlled environment with circulated air.  We are in the process of experimenting with a small vacuum kiln that will be put into operation if there is a demand.  For flat top instruments we can have them air dried in our present set up in a matter of a few days.  Arch Top blanks are dried for a number of months and may be a better candidate for kiln drying.

The prices listed here are retail.  If you are professional instrument maker, meaning that you are selling your instruments, please call us to discuss wholesale pricing for volumes ordered on some regular basis.

 Fret Saw Blades

These blades are custom made to our specifications after consultation with guitar makers who participate on the Official Luthiers Forum.  They are 6 inch diametre, they have a kerf of .0245 inches (+/- .0005 inches), they are made for 5/8 inch arbor saw and have 110 teeth.  These blades are thin and do require blade stabilizers.  The stabilizers are available for a large number of places, I use ones that were purchased at Lee Valley Tools.

 Menzerna Buffing Compounds

These are the BEST!  Menzerna has been the industry standard for many years and we are proud to be able to offer these compounds used to final processes to get that meticulous high gloss finish.  We have Medium and Fine Wax Compounds and a Liquid Polish.  The Menzerna Compounds come in 3 pound bars.

 "Go-Bar" and Sanding Dishes

Common Radii are 12', 15', 25', 28' and 30'.  We can do them all and for a small fee, we can do custom sizes also.  Our dishes are two layers of 3/4 MDF, 24 inches in diametre, and are protected with two coats of Varathane Diamond Wood Finish.  Double thickness means you get the dish "ready to go".  The second layer is already added for the needed stability and mass.  No need for you to 'complete' the dish before you can get to work with it!

These rods are quite simply GREAT!  I've  tried wooden slats (I have tons of spruce for things like that!) and wooden dowels, they just don't compare to the great uniformity of these bars.  They are shipped complete with rubber tips at each end.
